Lead Roofing and Repairs
White & Sons Ltd have many years experience renewing and refurbishing leadwork on domestic buildings, historic buildings, commercial buildings, as well as new-builds. We can also fabricate any lead gutters and vent products to match existing, or from design drawings. We also offer ornamental and cast lead and are able to match your existing decorative lead, or create a new piece to add the personal touch to your roof.
All leadwork is carried out to British Standards using rolled lead sheet (BS12588) and leadwork carried out to BS6915 and to the recommendations of the Lead Sheet Association. If you wish to find out more about lead, please have a look at our Brief Introduction to Lead.
Copper Roofing and Repairs
Surrey based White & Sons Ltd offer copper roofing services and repairs for all types of buildings, from the ornate to the functional, using long strip and traditional copper sheet roof covering. The benefits of using such a material is that copper is versatile, long lasting, great to look at, and it has a high resistance to corrosion. Ask a member of our team to find out about our range of copper roofing services, copper vents and copper gutters.
Zinc Roofing and Repairs
White & Sons Ltd carry out zinc roof replacements and repairs using either new or pre-weathered zinc material, that are available in a range of colours. All Zinc is generally pre-fabricated and then taken to site for installation.
Due to the versatility of zinc a number of different profiles can be achieved such as batten rolls; shingles; standing seams; rain screens; cross joints; and double lock welts. Get in touch with a member of our team and we will ensure that your zinc roof is long lasting, and aesthetically pleasing.

Do I need Building Regulations?
If over 50% of your roof is to be replaced, then your Local Authority needs to be notified of the work. As members of Competent Roofer, we are able to self-certify that our refurbishment work complies with Building Regulations. Upon completion, Competent Roofer will send the necessary certification.
Do you issue a guarantee for your work?
White and Sons Ltd offer a 10-year written workmanship guarantee for all of our full roof replacement work. In addition to this, as members of Competent Roofer, we offer a 10-year insurance backed guarantee for refurbishment work (over 50% of roof). Written guarantees are sent upon completion of the works.
Do I need a scaffold?
The safety of our staff is paramount, and we will not carry out work where we feel it unsafe to do so. As such, we will require a scaffold to be erected where it would be unsafe to carry out the work without one. We own an aluminium tower which can be used for small scale works to help reduce costs and we can also arrange for and manage scaffolds on your behalf.
